Disney to build Shanghai park

The Walt Disney Co. is taking a long-anticipated step to build a theme park in mainland China, according to media reports.

Disney will partner with the Shanghai government to build Shanghai Disneyland, a $3.6 billion theme park set to open in 2014.

The reports say that Disney will own the minority interest in the park, with the Shanghai city government owning the majority stake. Disney has a similar ownership structure with Hong Kong Disneyland.                                                                                                    

迪士尼計畫在上海興建主題樂園

根據媒體的報導，華特迪士尼公司終於宣佈將踏出長久以來備受期待的一步 - 在中國大陸興建主題樂園。

關於這項建設案，迪士尼將和上海政府共同合作打造上海迪士尼樂園，初估將花費360億人民幣並且預計在西元2014年正式開園。

報導同時也指出，針對該案迪士尼公司僅持有相對較少的股份，而上海政府則會掌握較多的股份。此種型態的經營模式正如同香港迪士尼樂園一樣。
